In 1935, a group of enthusiastic photographers got together to form our club. Their aim was to enhance their photographic knowledge, improve their skills, share their photographs with the local community but above all, to get together with people who shared their passion for photography and have fun together. Today, over 85 years later that simple principle hasn't changed.
Unlike many camera and photographic clubs, we own our own clubhouse. This gives a level of independence unusual in small groups. It also means that we can invest in our clubhouse with additions such as a 65 inch ultra high definition monitor which is used for our digital competitions and by speakers during presentations and workshops.
We are keen to welcome new members to broaden their photographic skills and interests, compete in our competitions - which are club-based, national and international - and enjoy the company of like-minded people as well as a friendly, social atmosphere.
